The Role
About the Opportunity:
A leading multifamily developer is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a 500-unit, ground-up multifamily project in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a high-impact, multi-phase development that requires a hands-on PM who can drive execution while managing budget, schedule, and coordination from preconstruction through closeout.
This role is ideal for someone with proven success managing large-scale multifamily builds who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the project from preconstruction to closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and team coordination
- Serve as the main point of contact for ownership, design teams, consultants, and subcontractors
- Develop and maintain the master project schedule in coordination with the Superintendent
- Lead project meetings, manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Track project costs, review invoices, and ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Oversee subcontractor buyouts and negotiations
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Collaborate closely with field teams to proactively resolve issues
- Manage and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of construction management experience with a minimum of 3+ years as a Project Manager
- Experience leading ground-up multifamily projects (250+ units) from start to finish
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, with a focus on podium, wrap, or garden-style builds
- Proficient in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and control
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
