The Role

About the Opportunity:

A leading multifamily developer is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a 500-unit, ground-up multifamily project in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a high-impact, multi-phase development that requires a hands-on PM who can drive execution while managing budget, schedule, and coordination from preconstruction through closeout.

This role is ideal for someone with proven success managing large-scale multifamily builds who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative construction environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the project from preconstruction to closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and team coordination
  • Serve as the main point of contact for ownership, design teams, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Develop and maintain the master project schedule in coordination with the Superintendent
  • Lead project meetings, manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Track project costs, review invoices, and ensure alignment with approved budgets
  • Oversee subcontractor buyouts and negotiations
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate closely with field teams to proactively resolve issues
  • Manage and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of construction management experience with a minimum of 3+ years as a Project Manager
  • Experience leading ground-up multifamily projects (250+ units) from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, with a focus on podium, wrap, or garden-style builds
  • Proficient in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and control
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
